As expected, the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) increased the standard adjustment factor for the 2010-11 MBR by 12.9%. According to DHCR, the Form RN-26 should be available during the second week of February 2010. At that time, these forms can be printed from DHCR’s Website at www.nysdhcr.gov/forms under Owner Forms. Most importantly, the RN-26 will NOT be mailed to the owners.
The RN-26 form can be accessed on the RSA website under the “Downloads” section.
The owner must complete and sign a copy of the RN-26 form and serve it upon the tenant of the subject apartment. A Master Building Rent Schedule listing the Maximum Base Rent, Maximum Collectible Rent and Fuel Cost Adjustment(s) for all rent controlled housing accommodations in the subject building must be completed by the owner and submitted to DHCR within 60 days of the issuance of the 2010-11 Order of Eligibility or Computed Order of Eligibility.
